Working with Kids in 2003 and again in 2004 .
In Both 2003 and 2004 , The Vancouver Aquarium was helping to launch Robert Bateman's National Wildlife Week Writing and Art Contest held at the Vancouver Aquarium. The education department is very involved with this contest, and had organized for a writer and an artist to be present to give a demonstration to school kids, encouraging them to enter the contest. This demo would also double as a media launch (local politicians and TV stations) to help increase awareness of the program. Ron Steven aka Rogest was asked to pop by and give this demonstration. Poet, politician, painter, Aquarium CEO, Fish.

Australia 2002
Cover of DAN Publication, this brings to a conclusion the Rogest /DAN fundraiser for 2002 in Australia. In mid 2002 DAN South East Asia - Pacific launched a fund raising project that would donate 75 cents of every profit dollar raised to two significant marine conservation "causes" ... Save Our Sharks and Coral Reef Alliance. The remaining 25 cents of every profit dollar raised would be directed to the DAN SEAP Regional Dive Fatalities Reporting Project. This fund-raising effort was only made possible through the enthusiasm and generosity of Ron Steven aka Rogest. Attractively priced, unique merchandise was promoted to the dive community in the S.E.Asia - Pacific region and the culmination of the promotion was the online Auction/Tender of a Rogest original work of art. The winning bid was announced in mid December 2002 and was lodged by a DAN SEAP Member residing in Melbourne, Australia.

Highest Bidder & John Lippmann. Early in 2003 profit from the promotion will be shared amongst the participating "causes" and whilst it is human nature to expect more the effort and enthusiasm of all involved is much appreciated ... especially the marine environment's true friend Ron Steven.
